Join Ventia in a role which keeps the Australian Defence Forces wheels turning!
A great opportunity for a Welder to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Edinburgh SA near Adelaide.
As a Welder you will be responsible for performing maintenance repairs and authorised structural and component modifications to Defence vehicles plant equipment and components. You will be using a variety of welding methods including electric arc MIG and TIG welding or oxyacetylene welding or by machine in accordance with instructions and procedure.

About the role
- Conducting maintenance tasks including technical inspection and classification.
- Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find out job material and equipment requirements.
- Heat treat metal parts and components.
- Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools welding equipment.
- Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding bolting or riveting.
- Finish products by cleaning polishing filing or bathing them in acid solutions or by applying protective or decorative coatings.
About you
- Cert III Engineering - Boilermaker or Fabricator
- Relevant previous experience as a Welder
- Experienced in a workshop environment
- You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
