About You

As a Pay Compliance Officer youll play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of Birmingham City Councils payroll and reward systems ensuring we meet all legal tax and regulatory obligations while supporting a culture of transparency and accountability.

Youll review payroll data and calculations resolve discrepancies and support audits and risk assessments to ensure the robustness of our systems. Working closely with the Pay & Reward Compliance Lead and Payroll Manager youll provide accurate reports and advice that help shape our wider pay compliance strategy.

This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills a meticulous eye for detail and a solid understanding of payroll practices. Youll also bring a collaborative mindset as youll be supporting colleagues across departments ensuring our policies are not just compliant but understood and followed.
