Job Description
Nurse Practitioner-Neonatology Permanent Role
- Location: College Station TX 77845
- Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Guaranteed: 8 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
- Perform comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and obtain medical histories.
- Order collect interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions and health care needs.
- Prescribe or recommend drug therapies and therapeutic procedures in accordance with protocols ensuring safety efficacy and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust care as needed.
- Counsel patients and families on medical conditions treatments medication nutrition and health promotion.
- Document patient care treatment plans and outcomes appropriately.
- Provide specialty consultations and referrals when a case exceeds scope or expertise.
- Strong knowledge in diagnosing and treating neonatal conditions.
- Familiarity with diagnostic and therapeutic practices.
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with healthcare-related software.
- Capability to implement and adjust outcome-based care plans.
- Skilled in patient and family education regarding treatments and lifestyle.
Texas RN License or RN licensure with compact privileges
Current Nurse Practitioner License in Texas
Board Certification as one of the following:
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC)
- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (ACNPC-AG)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (within 30 days of hire or transfer)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 30 days of hire or transfer).
Qualifications:- Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Experience: Open to new graduates (Less than 1 Year Required).
