Job Description

Nurse Practitioner-Neonatology Permanent Role

  • Location: College Station TX 77845
  • Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Guaranteed: 8 Hours
  • Compensation: Based on experience.
Essential Functions of the Role:
  • Perform comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and obtain medical histories.
  • Order collect interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions and health care needs.
  • Prescribe or recommend drug therapies and therapeutic procedures in accordance with protocols ensuring safety efficacy and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust care as needed.
  • Counsel patients and families on medical conditions treatments medication nutrition and health promotion.
  • Document patient care treatment plans and outcomes appropriately.
  • Provide specialty consultations and referrals when a case exceeds scope or expertise.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong knowledge in diagnosing and treating neonatal conditions.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic and therapeutic practices.
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with healthcare-related software.
  • Capability to implement and adjust outcome-based care plans.
  • Skilled in patient and family education regarding treatments and lifestyle.
Licenses & Certifications (Required):

Texas RN License or RN licensure with compact privileges

Current Nurse Practitioner License in Texas

Board Certification as one of the following:

  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC)
  • Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (ACNPC-AG)

Basic Life Support (BLS) (within 30 days of hire or transfer)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 30 days of hire or transfer).

Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Experience: Open to new graduates (Less than 1 Year Required).
