Job Description
Nurse Practitioner-Family Practice Permanent Role
- Location: Round Rock TX 78665
- Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Guaranteed: 40 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
- Conduct comprehensive or problem-focused physical and mental health assessments and medical histories.
- Order interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to diagnose and treat patient health issues.
- Prescribe and manage medications and therapies in accordance with protocols and safety/cost considerations.
- Recommend and implement behavior modification interventions for health improvement.
- Develop and execute patient-centered treatment plans using evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Monitor and evaluate patients responses to treatment plans and make adjustments as needed.
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions treatments medication use nutrition and preventive health.
- Document patient encounters treatment plans and outcomes thoroughly and accurately.
- Provide referrals and consults as needed when care exceeds scope of practice.
- Perform invasive procedures as appropriate to training and scope under physician delegation.
- Manage both acute and chronic conditions with a population health perspective.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical judgment skills.
- Knowledgeable in drug interactions treatment protocols and preventive care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in EHR and related clinical software.
- Capable of critical thinking and effective problem solving.
- Able to develop and manage outcomes-based treatment plans.
- Competence in counseling and patient education.
- Experience interpreting diagnostic tests and lab results.
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Experience: Open to new grads (Less than 1 year of experience accepted)
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current Texas RN License or Compact RN License
- Texas APRN License
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) License National Certification in Family Practice required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Must obtain within 30 days of hire (if not current).
