Job Description

Nurse Practitioner-Family Practice Permanent Role

  • Location: Round Rock TX 78665
  • Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Guaranteed: 40 Hours
  • Compensation: Based on experience.
Essential Functions:
  • Conduct comprehensive or problem-focused physical and mental health assessments and medical histories.
  • Order interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to diagnose and treat patient health issues.
  • Prescribe and manage medications and therapies in accordance with protocols and safety/cost considerations.
  • Recommend and implement behavior modification interventions for health improvement.
  • Develop and execute patient-centered treatment plans using evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients responses to treatment plans and make adjustments as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions treatments medication use nutrition and preventive health.
  • Document patient encounters treatment plans and outcomes thoroughly and accurately.
  • Provide referrals and consults as needed when care exceeds scope of practice.
  • Perform invasive procedures as appropriate to training and scope under physician delegation.
  • Manage both acute and chronic conditions with a population health perspective.

  • Strong diagnostic and clinical judgment skills.
  • Knowledgeable in drug interactions treatment protocols and preventive care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in EHR and related clinical software.
  • Capable of critical thinking and effective problem solving.
  • Able to develop and manage outcomes-based treatment plans.
  • Competence in counseling and patient education.
  • Experience interpreting diagnostic tests and lab results.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Experience: Open to new grads (Less than 1 year of experience accepted)

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current Texas RN License or Compact RN License
  • Texas APRN License
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) License National Certification in Family Practice required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Must obtain within 30 days of hire (if not current).
