You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Procurement function is an integral part of the Finance Department with a mission to support AVIV in acquiring goods and services through an efficient value-focused process. Procurement is committed to enabling AVIVs growth enhancing market performance and achieving a competitive edge through cost-effective solutions and strategic vendor partnerships.
The Director of Procurement will be accountable for driving value by executing the commercial aspects of procurement with excellence across all categories ensuring AVIV maximizes value from its vendor relationships.
Your Mission
Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Lead strategic sourcing efforts across a variety of requirements (e.g. IT HR marketing finance and services) to maximize value.
Vendor Negotiation and Compliance: Work with the broader procurement team to optimize cost through negotiations with leading vendors ensuring adherence to vendor management policies and frameworks (including service levels and deliverables).
Value Optimization: Enhance business outcomes by consistently managing administering and guiding category vendors toward optimal performance.
Category Planning: Develop and oversee the relevant category plan aligning procurement activities with AVIVs strategic goals.
Policy and Process Governance: Enforce policies tools and templates to manage and govern vendors in alignment with AVIVs procurement guidelines.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage closely with AVIV stakeholders to understand current vendor partnerships and refine vendor management processes and strategies.
Define Roles and Responsibilities: Establish clear roles and responsibilities for AVIV stakeholders involved in vendor management to ensure accountability and streamlined processes.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that strategic vendors remain aligned with AVIVs business objectives procurement goals and category strategy.
Vendor Management Program: Develop and implement a strategic vendor management program that evaluates relationship performance operational effectiveness cost and risk through regular assessments reviews and action plans.
Training and Support: Train and guide internal vendor relationship owners on governance best practices ensuring effective delivery of committed products services and solutions.
Issue Resolution: Act as a point of escalation for vendor issues and disputes ensuring effective and timely resolution.
Vendor Data Management: Maintain and regularly update the list of category vendors and relevant data to facilitate effective segmentation and decision-making.
Best Practice Evaluation: Continuously review and assess opportunities for process improvements to achieve greater maturity in vendor management.
Trusted Advisor: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders serving as a trusted advisor in procurement and vendor management.
Support Regional Teams: Advise and support regional procurement teams as needed to align on strategic goals and optimize procurement outcomes.
Qualifications :
Extensive Procurement Leadership: Significant experience as a Procurement Director or in a comparable senior role within a large international company.
Language Skills: Fluency in English with proficiency in either German or French.
Procurement and Contractual Expertise: Deep understanding of procurement processes including contract management service level agreements (SLAs) and vendor relationship management.
Vendor Lifecycle Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of the vendor lifecycle from sourcing and procurement through to vendor management and familiarity with internal roles and functions throughout these engagements.
Negotiation and Contract Management: Proficiency in contract negotiation and management with a focus on achieving optimal vendor performance and value.
Leadership and Influence: Strong leadership presence with the ability to communicate procurement vision and objectives effectively and act as a key resource and guide within the organization.
Results-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to drive improvements and take ownership of key initiatives to enhance procurement outcomes.
