Franchise Development & Legal Operations Associate

Position Overview
Tress Lounge Canada Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Franchise Development & Legal Operations Associate to support core business expansion activities. This individual will play a critical role in legal documentation site acquisition and financial preparation for franchise development. The role requires cross-functional coordination with legal finance and real estate professionals to support the growth of the Tress Lounge brand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Contract Development & Legal Liaison
- Draft coordinate and manage legal documentation for franchise operations including:
o Franchise agreements
o Vendor/supplier contracts
o Brand usage and partnership MOUs
- Work with internal and external legal counsel to ensure regulatory and commercial compliance.
- Maintain a repository of legal documentation and track renewals and policy updates.
2. Franchise Location Research & Lease Finalization
- Conduct market research and demographic analysis to recommend suitable franchise locations.
- Support lease negotiations including coordination with landlords real estate agents and legal representatives.
- Ensure compliance with zoning licensing and franchise brand standards.
- Summarize findings and present recommendations for executive decision-making.
3. Business & Financial Analysis for Franchise Mortgage Submissions
- Prepare business plans operational models and financial projections for proposed franchise sites.
- Assist with assembling complete mortgage/loan submission packages.
- Ensure documentation aligns with lender standards and includes accurate forecasting.
- Maintain communications with financial institutions and track submission status.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Legal Studies Finance or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business operations legal coordination franchise development or commercial real estate
- Strong understanding of legal contract structure regulatory documentation and compliance
- Experience with lease agreements financial modeling and loan application support
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Strong communication writing and analytical skills
- High level of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in legal drafting or working with in-house or external legal teams
- Familiarity with Canadian franchise regulations and zoning laws
- Experience supporting commercial mortgage submissions or financial institution packages
