Job Description
Job Title: Medical Technologist (MT/MLT) - Clinical Laboratory
Location: Kenedy TX
Shift: Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Schedule: Alternating Weeks (Week 1: Thursday-Saturday Week 2: Thursday Friday and Sunday)
Hourly Rate: Starting at $28/hour (higher based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to work overnight shifts in a clinical laboratory setting. The ideal candidate is well-rounded experienced and capable of working independently during night shifts on a rotating schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory policies protocols and safety standards.
- Analyze specimens across a variety of laboratory disciplines.
- Operate calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Document results clearly and enter data into the EMR system (CPSI).
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support timely patient diagnosis and treatment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience (3-5 years preferred).
- Must have a valid Texas Medical Technologist license.
- Graduate of a CLIA-approved Laboratory Science program or certified by one of the following:
- ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
- AMT (American Medical Technologists)
- AB (American Board)
- HEW (Health and Education Welfare)
- Strong technical knowledge in all core laboratory areas.
- Excellent attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
