Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Applies ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.
- Accurately documents details of treatment procedures and maintains daily treatment records.
- Performs daily and periodic quality assurance equipment checks and related tasks. Participate in weekly chart rounds.
- Administer therapy treatments in the delivery of a planned course of treatment to adult patients.
- Simulates a course of treatment by defining and identifying tumor volume target volume and treatment volume as directed and prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Construct and/or prepare immobilization devices beam directional devices and treatment accessories which facilitate treatment delivery.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
- Associates Degree in Radiation Therapy
- ARRT in Radiation Therapy TX Licensure
- CPR Certified
- Knowledge of Linear Accelarator & CT Simulator Operations
