Authorizations Supervisor (ABA Services)

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Authorizations Supervisor to lead our growing authorizations team across multiple states. This role is critical to ensuring timely and accurate processing of insurance authorizations for ABA services. While insurance experience is preferred strong leadership organizational and communication skills are essential. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader to grow with a mission-driven ABA organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support the daily operations of the authorizations team
Monitor team performance set priorities and ensure deadlines are met
Coordinate with clinical and billing departments to ensure smooth authorization workflows
Review and improve processes to maintain compliance and reduce denials
Train new team members and provide ongoing guidance and performance feedback
Serve as point of escalation for complex cases or payer issues
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Healthcare or insurance experience is a plus but not required
Familiarity with ABA services payer portals and prior authorization requirements preferred.
