Job Description
Are you a hands-on skilled Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in quality repairs and getting equipment back in action Deep Well Services is looking for a Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our growing team in Longview TX. If youre experienced with diesel engines hydraulics trailers and off-road equipment and dont mind being on the move we want to hear from you!
Position Details:
Pay:$22.00 - $34.00/hr (based on experience)
Status:Full-time Non-Exempt
Schedule:Flexible with evening/weekend on-call as needed
Travel:Approx. 75% (field-based repairs)
What Youll Do:
Diagnose repair and maintain a wide range of diesel trucks trailers and hydraulic systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve on/off-road issues using advanced diagnostic tools and software.
Operate a mobile service truck to provide field repairs (75% travel required).
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and field teams to support operational readiness.
Mentor field staff and help train on proper equipment upkeep and PM protocols.
What Were Looking For:
Experience: 5 years as a diesel mechanic (Cat Cummins Allison experience preferred).
Education: High School Diploma or GED. Technical training is a plus.
Skills: Strong knowledge of hydraulics 12/24V electrical systems Tier 4 emissions DPF/DEF systems and diagnostic software (SIS INSIGHT etc.).
Tech Savvy: Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance software.
License: Valid drivers license with clean MVR. DOT medical card or willingness to obtain.
