Adjunct - Business Administration

Occupational Summary:

Newman University a mission-driven catholic liberal arts university is recruiting for an adjunct position in Business Administration starting Fall 2025. Disciplines to be taught may include: Management Marketing Accounting Finance Leadership Business Analytics Agribusiness etc. Candidates must hold at least a Masters in Business Administration. Courses taught will be determined according to the individuals training and experience. Professional experience is a plus.

Work Performed:

1. Teachcourses appropriate to academic qualificationsin online and/or face-to-face learning environments.
2. Inform students of their progress by promptly returning graded assignments quizzes and examswith appropriate feedback.
3. Submit mid-term and final grades on Jet Stream by designated deadlines.
4. Utilize the Learning Management Systems i.e. Canvas and other technology as appropriate.
5. Report performance assessment data as required/requested.
6. Consult with the Dean or Assistant Dean of the School of Business regarding concerns.

Required Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills/Training:

1. Legally authorized to work in the United States.
2. A Mastersdegree in Business Administration or related field.
3. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
4. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
5. Ability to establish and maintain a good rapport with university faculty and staff students and the general public.
6. Must be able to teach onsite in Wichita Garden City or Dodge City Kansas.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Evidence of excellence in university teaching.
2. Interpersonal and relationship building skills.
3. Evidence of successful decision making in a collaborative environment.
