About the role

Are you a highly organised and people-focused individual looking to make a meaningful difference in childrens lives We are seeking a dedicated Fostering Panel & Recruitment Administrator to play a key role in supporting our Fostering Service. This is a dual role that supports both the Fostering Panel process and the Recruitment Team helping to ensure children and young people are placed in safe nurturing homes.

This varied and rewarding role will involve:

Fostering Panel Administration

Coordinating all administrative aspects of the fostering panel including scheduling meetings preparing and distributing panel papers and minute-taking.

Liaising with panel members social workers and senior managers to ensure the smooth operation of the panel.

Maintaining accurate records reports and panel outcomes in line with fostering regulations and internal policies.

Recruitment Team Administration

Supporting the recruitment of new foster carers through administrative duties and first-stage applicant engagement.

Coordinating and attending outreach events such as community fairs information sessions and awareness campaigns to promote fostering.

Handling initial enquiries and conducting telephone screening with potential applicants to assess suitability and provide clear information about the fostering journey.

Maintaining the applicant tracking system and ensuring communication with potential carers is timely and supportive.


Were looking for someone who is:

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.

Confident in both verbal and written communication with experience handling sensitive information professionally.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team across different service areas.

Experienced in administration (preferably in a social care or fostering environment though not essential).

Passionate about making a difference for children and young people through supporting foster care recruitment.
