Job Description
THIS POSITION IS ONLY OPEN TO THOSE IN THE SEIU HALTON-PEEL BARGAINING UNIT FOR THE FIRST SEVEN (7) DAYS.
Temporary Full-Time Direct Support Professional SEIU Halton - Oakville
Program Name - Caulder Halton 1
Duration: Approximately Three (3) months
Start Date: ASAP
Skills Required:
- DSW or SSW or CYS Diploma
- Current/Valid G Drivers License
- Computer Skills: Windows Word Excel Email etc.
Experience Required:
- Behaviour supports
- Medical supports
- Employment support
- Community Participation Supports
- Supports to people who have a dual diagnosis
- Supports to people who dont use words to communicate
- Supports to people who experience Autism
- Supports to people who experience FASD
Ability Required:
- Current NVCI
- Current First Aid/CPR
- Able to lift 20-30 lbs
- Able to perform restraints
- Able to perform CPR
- Able to provide personal care which may include lifting bending and/or twisting
Hours: 40 hours/week F/T Line
The successful candidate for this position will be paid according to Schedule A of the SEIU Peel/Halton Bargaining Unit Collective Agreement (Hourly Wage Range: $24.68 - $28.88)
