The Role
As a Production Tech you will bring creativity to life by crafting stunning sets and ensuring smooth production processes for our world-renownedHaunts. If youre hands-on detail-oriented and ready to turn vision into reality this is the role for you!
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Build and assemble stage sets according to design specifications.
- Design and set up lighting systems for performances; troubleshoot and repair lighting equipment as needed.
- Install and operate sound systems including microphones speakers and audio mixers.
- Ensure clear communication systems (intercoms headsets) for crew members.
- Collaborate with directors and designers to refine technical elements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and stage areas.
- Perform routine maintenance on technical equipment.
- Ensure proper packing and storage of all technical gear; repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning items.
- Operate various technical elements and provide backstage support during live performances.
- Communicate effectively to ensure smooth running of performances.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and sets before and after performances.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Experience in performance technology an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others.
- An understanding of technology with a interest in sound lighting and live performance.
- A commitment to safety with a deep understanding of regulations and best practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- The ability to work flexible hours including early mornings evenings weekends and holidays.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
