Job Description
A company in Brooklyn is seeking a self-motivated and responsible Financial Controller to take full ownership of its financial operations. This hands-on role requires managing the complete accounting cycle and delivering timely accurate financial insights to leadership.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented organized and capable of independently overseeing all aspects of accounting including bookkeeping financial reporting and cash management.
Responsibilities Include:
Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping: accounts payable accounts receivable bank and credit card reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
Manage cash flow and monitor financial performance
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
Collaborate with external accountants and auditors as needed
Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for decision-making
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Ideal Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Controller Senior Accountant or similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks NetSuite or similar)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and communication skills
This role is ideal for a finance professional seeking full responsibility over the accounting function in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: $100k - $150k/Year
