Job Description
The Wastewater Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective treatment and management of wastewater generated by our manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for monitoring and controlling the treatment processes to meet environmental regulations and maintain operational efficiency. The operator will conduct regular inspections and tests to assess the quality of wastewater and make necessary adjustments to treatment methods. Additionally the role involves maintaining accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations. Ultimately the Wastewater Operator contributes to the sustainability efforts of the organization by minimizing environmental impact and promoting responsible waste management practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid wastewater operator certification.
- Experience in wastewater treatment or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree in environmental science engineering or a related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of local state and federal environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests of wastewater samples to assess quality and treatment effectiveness.
- Adjust treatment methods and chemical dosages as necessary to optimize performance.
- Maintain accurate records of operations including flow rates chemical usage and test results.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.

The required skills for this position include strong analytical abilities to assess wastewater quality and treatment processes effectively. Attention to detail is essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations. Problem-solving skills are utilized daily to troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize treatment methods.
