$15.35 per hour is equivalent to $31928 per year.
General Schedule:
Position typically works 40 hours per week Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm.
Position Overview:
The Compliance Specialist supports the University of Central Oklahomas (UCO) efforts to ensure compliance with university policies and state regulations related to the travel and procurement card (PCard) programs. This role is primarily responsible for conducting routine audits reviewing documentation and assisting departments in maintaining accurate and complete records. Working within the compliance function the Compliance Specialist helps safeguard the integrity of internal processes through ongoing monitoring reviews and effective communication.
Job Duties:
Conduct routine compliance audits as assigned within the UCO travel and PCard programs following university and state policies and procedures.
Prepare departmental reports university customers and the RUSO Board.
Carry out ongoing monitoring activities based on findings and identified risk.
Review travel claims following university and state policies and procedures.
Reviewvarious documents and respond to inquiries.
Maintain compliance databases.
Provide education and training to employees on the procurement card and travel programs.
Retain appropriate documentation and work papers in accordance with record retention policies and regulatory audit requirements.
Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
Requires a university degree in related field plus 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications/Experience Preferred:
Bachelors Degree in business finance or a related field or eight years of related experience.
Experience in public speaking or training helpful.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
Strong understanding of the State of Oklahoma Procurement Statures Oklahoma Travel Reimbursement Act and UCOs Travel Policy including understanding of regulatory contractual and operational responsibilities and the ability to interpret various contracts are preferred.
Excellent computer skills with ability to utilized analytical and statistical software tools.
Proficient in use of database systems Microsoft Office etc.
Good analytical research organizational and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
