Are you a Psychology or Criminology graduate passionate about mental health and behaviour in children A warm and inclusive school in Morden is looking for a dedicated SEMH Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
As a SEMH Assistant youll work closely with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsmaking this the perfect role for graduates aiming to pursue careers in Clinical Psychology Educational Psychology Therapy or SEN education.
What youll be doing as an SEMH Assistant:
Supporting autistic pupils and those with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
Delivering interventions to help pupils regulate emotions build communication and engage with learning
Assisting with behaviour support plans and creating consistent structured routines
Building trusting relationships with pupils while promoting emotional wellbeing
Collaborating with SEN professionals teachers and families as a valued SEMH Assistant
Were looking for an SEMH Assistant who:
Holds a 2:1 or above in Psychology or Criminology from a Top 20 UK University
Has a genuine passion for mental health behaviour support and neurodiversity
Brings empathy resilience and calm to their role as an SEMH Assistant
Has relevant experience working with children or young people
Can commit full-time from September 2025 to July 2026
