What youll be doing
As a Senior Consultant Sales Practice Oversight youll provide specialized sales practice consultative support to our business partners and work closely with our Second Line of Defence partners to ensure CIBCs compliance to sales practice regulatory expectations are delivered while supporting an excellent client experience and business growth objectives. You will support the management of key controls related to sales practices to mitigate operational risk exposures in support CIBCs Control Framework to ensure compliance to regulatory legislative and operational requirements including the efficient and effective management of deficiency remediation.

How youll succeed
Risk Management & Compliance Apply extensive knowledge of risk management principles practices policies and procedures to administrate the requirements of the Sales Practice Risk Assessment (SPRA) process. Monitor and continuously improve the business controls environment the sales practice dashboard and conduct risk-based assessments as needed. Manage Change Initiative Risk Assessment(CIRA) process and act as the sales practice risk and controls SME providing expert advice to Line of Business partners to ensure sales practice risks are identified and mitigation strategies are compliant. Participate in business governance and regulatory projects to identify and mitigate sales practice risk and control issues.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management Relationship management and collaborative consultation with business partners and 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defense for all matters relating to sales practices. Manage relationships at peer or director level as well as project and initiative leads. Work closely with LOB partners and key governance partners to proactively identify sales practice risk exposures and control gaps with an eye towards managing and mitigating these risks while supporting business goals and objectives. Lead the assessment and recommendation of self-assessed deficiencies to mitigate risk exposures and control gaps.
Project Management & Delivery Consult on sales product and channel projects from a risk and controls perspective to propose solutions to identified risks. Develop high-level requirements for control processes and gaps within projects. Analyze report on and/or develop changes to control processes or procedures. Administrate the requirements of the Sales Practice Risk Committee (SPRC) & the Executive Sales Practice Risk Committee (ESPRC). Use effective self-management practices to manage multiple concurrent objectives projects groups or activities making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience. 5 years of experience in sales practice oversight product management compliance and/or operational risk management in banking sector. Experience in Personal Banking roles. Exposure in Business Banking Imperial Service and/or Wealth Management roles an asset. You understand their business goals and processes including sales processes and their performance measurement expectations.
