Description

YOUR ROLE

Join our Speech Pathology team at MACS to play a key role in supporting and enhancing learning outcomes for students with oral language and communication difficulties and disorders. The Speech Pathologist will need to have a broad understanding of educational needs and awareness of current best-practice in the management of oral language and communication difficulties and disorders in school-age students including the assessment and support for students with Developmental Language Disorder

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide support to school leadership teams and other key stakeholders to improve learning outcomes for students with communication impairments.
  • Work closely with other MACS staff teachers principals and external agencies to facilitate the provision of evidence- based support responsive to the needs of students.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of assessment treatment and progress.
  • Understand and comply with the policies and procedures of MACS.
  • Deliver advice regarding educational needs and current best-practice in the area of speech pathology.

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated experience and skills in developing and delivering recommendations to support access and participation in learning for students with language and communication impairments.
  • Proven ability to provide speech pathology services within a school setting to children with oral language and communication difficulties and disabilities.
  • You possess an authentic and professional approach have exceptional stakeholder management skills and like to be part of a team focusing on continuous improvement to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated awareness of current best-practice in the management of communication impairments in school-aged students.
  • You have excellent written communication and time management skills.
