What youll be doing:
Product Content Translator & Editor (Arabic speaker) plays a key role into inspiring GMG Sports consumers and helping them to make informed purchased decisions. The role is pivotal into offering GMG Sports Arabic speaking customers consistent and qualitative product titles & descriptions across all of GMG Sports digital platforms (ecommerce emails marketplace) ensuring alignment with our brands tone of voice as well as SEO optimization. You will be required to inspire inform and delight GMG Sports customers by translating key marketing messages (emails push notifications marketing banners paid ads etc)
Job Description:
1. Translate and adapt product titles & product descriptions (Footwear apparel accessories equipment etc.)
2. Ensure Titles and descriptions are SEO friendly compelling and engaging
3. Utilize Akeneo to upload and manage product descriptions efficiently
4. Conduct thorough proofreading and auditing of overall product content to maintain high standards
5. Ensure consistency and quality in PDP & PLP content across all brands
6. Update the product tracker for timely updates and content management
7. Create engaging Arabic marketing content such as email newsletters push notifications paid ads marketing banner content blogs and support with ad-hoc translations.
Execution:
Day to day Arabic translation of product titles and descriptions
Daily marketing content creation
Reporting on translation vs plan
Experience:
2 years of experience in Product Translation and marketing translation preferably in an E-Commerce setting.
Passion & understanding of sports is mandatory
Bachelors degree in communications Marketing or related field; masters preferred
Good knowledge of digital marketing and e-commerce platforms
Strong analytical skills to assess content performance and market trends
Exceptional communication abilities for clear impactful stakeholder interaction
Retail or e-commerce industry experience beneficial
Job-Specific Skills:
Expert in content translation form English to Arabic
Advanced skills in writing and editing product descriptions
Good knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets (Vlookups PIVOT) for data management and reports
Knowledge of CMS like Akeneo and familiarity with HTML CSS is a plus
Experience in writing SEO friendly content
