Allied Reliability is seeking a Health and Safety Supervisor with working knowledge of Environmental and Regulatory Laws pertaining to the manufacturing (chemical) industry. Technical Responsibilities will include:
- Proactively identify potential safety issues and address.
- Participate in MOC (Management of Change) for all processes as the Safety representative.
- Participate in PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) and coordinate CARs where applicable.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Perform ERP (Emergency Response Plan) duties as outlined in the ERP.
- Compile reports about safety and provide management with updates.
- Monitor and report KPIs to management.
- Perform onboard Safety training to new-hires.
- Manage and enforce company drug policies
- Represent the facility to external regulatory agencies in official communication/correspondence and onsite audits as outlined and/or instructed.
- Maintain community relations with local government law enforcement fire department and other authorities.
- Lead Incident Investigation process and schedule Incident reviews promptly.
- Ensure Incident Review Corrective Actions are addressed timely.
- Author and maintain current SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for Safety.
- Participate in plant permitting as required.
- Act as the owner of the plant ERP and PSM Program.
- Inspect the facility to identify safety health and environmental risks and ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement inspection policies and procedures and a schedule of routine inspections.
- Prepare schedule and train to cover emergency procedures workplace safety and other relevant topics.
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures.
- Draft inspection reports to document inspection findings.
- Coordinate with facility management to organize and lead periodic drills.
- Leads safety and community outreach programs that contribute to the company image.
- Maintain stock of plant PPE.
- Obtain and maintain certifications as needed.
- Maintain records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants as required.
Candidates should have strong knowledge of OSHA Workers Compensation & EPA laws and regulations experience in Scheduling SAP Microsofft Office suite Forklift operation.
