Job Description

Allied Reliability is seeking a Health and Safety Supervisor with working knowledge of Environmental and Regulatory Laws pertaining to the manufacturing (chemical) industry. Technical Responsibilities will include:
  1. Proactively identify potential safety issues and address.
  2. Participate in MOC (Management of Change) for all processes as the Safety representative.
  3. Participate in PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) and coordinate CARs where applicable.
  4. Accurately complete all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance.
  5. Perform ERP (Emergency Response Plan) duties as outlined in the ERP.
  6. Compile reports about safety and provide management with updates.
  7. Monitor and report KPIs to management.
  8. Perform onboard Safety training to new-hires.
  9. Manage and enforce company drug policies
  10. Represent the facility to external regulatory agencies in official communication/correspondence and onsite audits as outlined and/or instructed.
  11. Maintain community relations with local government law enforcement fire department and other authorities.
  12. Lead Incident Investigation process and schedule Incident reviews promptly.
  13. Ensure Incident Review Corrective Actions are addressed timely.
  14. Author and maintain current SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for Safety.
  15. Participate in plant permitting as required.
  16. Act as the owner of the plant ERP and PSM Program.
  17. Inspect the facility to identify safety health and environmental risks and ensure compliance.
  18. Develop and implement inspection policies and procedures and a schedule of routine inspections.
  19. Prepare schedule and train to cover emergency procedures workplace safety and other relevant topics.
  20. Monitor compliance with safety procedures.
  21. Draft inspection reports to document inspection findings.
  22. Coordinate with facility management to organize and lead periodic drills.
  23. Leads safety and community outreach programs that contribute to the company image.
  24. Maintain stock of plant PPE.
  25. Obtain and maintain certifications as needed.
  26. Maintain records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants as required.
Candidates should have strong knowledge of OSHA Workers Compensation & EPA laws and regulations experience in Scheduling SAP Microsofft Office suite Forklift operation.
