Job Description

Physician Assistant-Urology Permanent Role

  • Location: College Station TX 77845
  • Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Guaranteed: 40 Hours
  • Compensation: Based on experience.
Essential Functions of the Role:
  • Conducts comprehensive and focused physical and mental assessments of patients.
  • Orders interprets and evaluates lab and diagnostic tests to determine health conditions.
  • Prescribes appropriate medications and therapeutic treatments while monitoring effectiveness safety and cost-efficiency.
  • Develops and implements individualized evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with the physician and care team.
  • Evaluates patient progress and modifies treatment plans accordingly.
  • Provides patient and family education regarding medical conditions treatments nutrition and health promotion.
  • Advises on drug regimens potential side effects and interactions with food supplements and OTC/herbal remedies.
  • Maintains detailed documentation of treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Initiates referrals or consults when patient needs exceed scope of practice.
  • Delivers specialty consultation services within the PAs training and experience in Urology.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy disease processes treatment protocols and preventative care.
  • Ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of urologic conditions.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and medical software.
  • Competency in developing patient-centric outcome-based treatment plans.
  • Ability to educate and counsel patients effectively.
  • Skilled in interpreting lab and diagnostic test results.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program
  • Experience: Open to new graduates (Less than 1 year of experience acceptable)

Licensure/Certification:

  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Texas
  • BLS Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer)
  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
