Job Description

Overview
The BAMS RMO (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery Resident Medical Officer) plays a critical role in the healthcare facility in Nashik Maharashtra. This position is essential as it bridges the gap between patients and healthcare providers ensuring quality Ayurvedic medical care. The RMO is responsible for assessing patients providing treatments performing diagnostic tests and supporting the healthcare team in various medical functions. With a focus on holistic healing and patient-centered care the BAMS RMO actively contributes to the well-being of patients by integrating traditional Ayurvedic practices within modern healthcare frameworks. The role involves not only clinical responsibilities but also patient education and community health initiatives making it a multifaceted position within the healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and history taking.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on Ayurvedic principles.
  • Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Educate patients on lifestyle choices diet and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in healthcare community outreach programs and workshops.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
  • Stay updated with the latest Ayurvedic practices and guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of junior medical staff.
  • Conduct health awareness camps focusing on Ayurvedic practices.
  • Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality of patient information.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS).
  • Valid medical license to practice in Maharashtra.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Ayurvedic medical principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation and record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of common medical software and electronic health records.
  • Analytical skills for interpreting medical data and patient outcomes.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and patient confidentiality.
  • Capable of handling stressful situations and emergency care.
  • Familiarity with community health programs and outreach.
  • A proactive attitude towards personal and professional development.
  • Fluency in local languages and English.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous education and training.
