Job Description

1 months contract with local authority

  • Conduct assessments and develop care and support plans for adults with social care needs ensuring personalized and integrated care.
  • Collaborate with individuals families and other professionals using person-centered principles and evidence-based practices to improve lives.
  • Provide access to advice support and services for adults and families proposing creative social care solutions and considering potential risks and financial impact.
  • Safeguard adults and children at risk from abuse or neglect by reporting concerns and completing tasks within the context of a safeguarding concern or enquiry.
  • Continuously evaluate caseloads and respond to changing priorities gathering sensitive information in a respectful manner.
  • Allocate and direct team administrative support provide feedback and contribute to on-the-job training.
  • Assess recommend and arrange for the delivery of necessary equipment and maintain electronic data recording devices.
  • Engage in annual performance reviews and development opportunities seeking advice and expertise as needed.
  • Contribute to new initiatives service improvement and the learning of others following best practices in recording and documenting activities.
  • Participate in training and development courses as required.


Requirements


  • Relevant qualifications in social work or a related field.
  • Knowledge of social care legislation best practices and current policies.
  • Understanding of risk assessment and safeguarding principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals and families in challenging situations.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  • Willingness to participate in training and development courses as needed.


Requirements: Proven experience in quality assurance and reviewing services for children and young people Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory safeguarding requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to championing the rights and well-being of children and young people
