We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Relationship Coordinator to join Event Services.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of event-related business opportunities across Waipapa Taumata Rau University of Auckland while building your experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. Working alongside passionate colleagues who work as a cohesive team. You will help shape exceptional client experiences and support the visibility of Event Services across the University.
You will play a key role in supporting the development of proposals contracts and stakeholder engagement activity as well as assisting with event bookings and maintaining accurate client records. This role is ideal for someone with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills who is keen to grow their career in business development event sales or relationship management.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week / 7.5 hours per day) 12-month fixed-term position while the department undertakes a review of their business requirements for the future.
The hours of work are core business hours for the University (8am to 4 pm or 9am to 5pm) and there is flexibility for early starts if needed and being able to work at least 2 days off site once fully trained.
Interviews will take place the week of 7 July with the role starting ideally by the 1st of August 2025.
This is a Band E role the salary range for this role is $62400 - $77800 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

To be successful in this role you will be highly organised and customer-focused with a strong ability to communicate professionally and build trusted relationships. You will bring 23 years experience in a business development sales support or client services role ideally within a complex or service-driven organisation.
Youll have a sound understanding of financial processes with proven experience in preparing or supporting service proposals and contracts. You will be confident managing client enquiries coordinating administrative workflows and maintaining accurate records to support the conversion of leads into confirmed business.
You will also bring a positive solutions-focused mindset the ability to manage multiple priorities and a strong commitment to delivering excellent service across a range of stakeholders.
