We are currently seeking a Team Leader for our client.
Responsibilities:
- Act as points-of-contact with the Regional Supervisor and the clients Regional Authority;
- Manage the flow of day-to-day operations;
- Apply all policies and procedures and understand all legal liabilities of this role and any related occupational and safety laws;
- Comply with safety regulations identify needs for safety training complete initial safety and hazard assessments and participate in accident investigations;
- Coordinate the Preventive Maintenance Plan and Corrective Maintenance Plan and special projects;
- Ensure that the team operates safely and smoothly;
- Provide motivation for team members to meet their goals;
- Evaluate quality of work of team members;
- Mentor apprentices (Electronic Technicians); and
- Create reports to update the Contractor Regional Supervisor and Regional Authority.
- Complete the On Job Training (OJT) within twelve months of Resources start date.
Qualifications :
- A minimum of a college degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in one of the following fields:
- Industrial Technician
- Communication Technician
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology
- Electronic Engineering Technician
- Electrical Engineering Technology
- A minimum of 3 years of experience within the last 10 years maintaining at least 10 of the systems and/or sub-systems (must include Type of Electronic Equipment and System Maintained Manufacturer and Model) listed below:
- Security Systems such as:
- Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS)
- Motion Detection System (MDS)
- Fence Disturbance System (FDS)
- PIDS Public Address System (PIDS PA)
- PIDS Closed Circuit Television (PIDS CCTV)

- Personal Portable Alarm System (PPA)
- Personal Portable Alarm - Locatable System (PPAL)
- Fixed Point Alarms (FPA)
- Drone Detections
- Supplementary Intrusion Detection System (SIDS) CCTV
- General Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)
- Communications Systems such as:
- Radio System
- Telephone System
- Public Address System (PA)
- Intercom System
- Messaging System
- Operational Voice Logger
- Cell Call System

- Must have at least 2 years of experience in the past 5 years managing a team of at least two persons directly reporting to you.
- Demonstrated experience working with commercial and personal computers and their peripherals.
- Demonstrated knowledge in basic computer operation hardware (motherboard RAM hard drive CPU cabling server NIC) and their peripherals (input/output devices) (printer monitor speaker alarm devices etc.)
- Experience demonstrating clear conceptual thinking of complex technical situations by being able to ignore extraneous information have broad and critical thinking break down a project into manageable pieces make a decision execute a solution formulate an effective course of action have logical thinking be able to multitasking and prioritization.
- Demonstrated proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word Excel Outlook and Power Point).
- Demonstrates the analytical skills (communication creativity critical thinking data analysis and research) to evaluate results against objective.
- Demonstrated Interpersonal skills to solve problems and interact with the Client Site effectively.
- This role requires any candidates to currently hold or be eligible to obtain a Federal Government clearance at the enhanced reliability (level 1).
Other Requirements:
- The Team Lead must be able to communicate his/her ideas clearly and this requires good interpersonal skills in order to problem solve and interact at the client site effectively.
- CompTIA A and Network an asset. (Must complete within 6 months from start date)
- Decisions require clear conceptual thinking of complex technical situations; advice must be sought if uncertainty exists.
- Working at heights (Fall Arrest) First Aid Confined Space and WHMIS certifications are considered assets.
