Senior Technician and Vehicle Expert

Job Description

• Work with and manage project teams of engineers scientists and technicians on engineering projects.
• Perform inspections of crash sites and vehicles.
• Conduct Black-Box data acquisition for heavy trucks and passenger vehicles.
• Investigate and analyze vehicle mechanical and electrical systems mechanical devices electrical devices consumer products heavy equipment and other items.
• Engineering analysis of traffic crash events involving cars trucks motorcycles bicycles pedestrians off-road vehicles construction machinery and other vehicles.
• Provide technical findings analysis and conclusions verbally and in writing.
• Travel for client meetings field work marketing and business development.
• Maintain communication with attorney and adjuster clients and project teams on status and scope of assigned projects.
• Testify as an expert witness.
• Maintain technical and professional knowledge related to the experts practice area(s) through attending continuing education courses and workshops attending industry/practice related seminars reviewing relevant scientific and professional publications and participating in professional organizations and societies.
• Continuously meet or exceed assigned performance metrics and goals.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher.
• Project and team management experience.
• Subject matter expertise in vehicle mechanical electrical digital and recording systems.
• ACTAR certification or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attitude to deliver results.
• Mathematically and technologically inclined with the ability to adapt to new environments and information.
• Willingness and ability to obtain additional licensure and certification.
• Ability to work remotely locally and while traveling.
• Reliable transportation (pickup truck or SUV) for travel to different regions within Florida and willingness to fly with equipment for inspections.

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

• Ability to travel by driving or flying. 
• Ability to maneuver in and around an accident site.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work site.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $80000 - $92000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset experience training location scope of role management responsibility etc.
