Job Description
Summary:
Our client is seeking an EH&S Supervisor to join their team! The EH&S Supervisor will focus on fostering a strong environmental health and safety culture while ensuring compliance with regulations and reducing workplace injuries in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support team members and leadership in identifying workplace hazards and managing incident reporting and investigations
- Assist the EH&S Manager in leading and executing EH&S programs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA General Industry Standards and company policies
- Maintain adherence to federal state and local environmental regulations
- Facilitate EH&S training for all team members
- Track and measure progress toward EH&S goals and objectives
- Report and record EH&S data promptly and accurately
- Provide first aid and triage for injuries involving team members or contractors
- Support health screening health education OSHA recordkeeping and hearing conservation initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the EH&S Manager
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in EH&S within a manufacturing environment; lumber industry experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Access and Word
- Knowledge of effective EH&S program facilitation
- Ability to present and train team members effectively
- Proactive leadership with the ability to build and maintain strong teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for workplace safety
