SUMMARY
At Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) we are committed to high quality early childhood and school aged education. The primary function of the Enrollment Coordinator is to assist families with enrollment into our district schools. The Enrollment Coordinator provides professional customer service to prospective families students as well as the community faculty staff and administration. The Enrollment Coordinator proactively follows up with families to ensure satisfaction addressing any family or student concerns. They provide service to a diverse population including non-native speakers and other community members whose school and educational needs and interests vary. Our ideal candidate will meet and exceed expectations for student acquisition and retention.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma
AND
Six (6) years progressive experience administering or coordinating programs
OR
Associates Degree in social science or related field
AND
Four (4) years experience in public relations social services volunteer programs or community services programs
OR
Bachelors degree in social science or related field
AND
Two (2) years experience in public relations social services volunteer programs or community services programs
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Plus all of the following:
A working knowledge of word processing database and/or Excel spreadsheet application.
Ability to accurately apply and explain policies and procedures.
Ability to interact with families staff and the public in a pleasant tactful and courteous manner.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Availability to work flex hours as needed to include evenings and/or weekends
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual Spanish speaking.
Experience working in a K-12 educational setting with disabled students multi-cultural populations and youth.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.
Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of auto insurance policy. Coverage must be valid throughout the term of employment.
Valid Drivers license (Arizona Drivers License required within 30 days of hire)
MVReport showing no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services -
Transportation by Employees.
Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees

Location: TUSD District Office (Euclid and Broadway area)
Department website: 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
