Advocacy Division Director

Champion survivor support. Strengthen systems. Lead with heart and strategy.


About the Role

We are looking for a mission-driven Advocacy Division Director to lead CAPSAs core survivor services-including Social Services Housing and Emergency Shelter. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring programs meet the highest standards of trauma-informed care align with our mission and are equipped to grow in both depth and reach.

As the Advocacy Division Director you will partner closely with the Chief Program Officer to align advocacy work with CAPSAs strategic vision guide and strategize alongside department leaders improving internal systems and elevating collaborative community partnerships. This role is ideal for a systems thinker with a deep understanding of survivor-centered practices and a passion for strengthening both people and programs.

As a newly created role this position is central to supporting CAPSAs ongoing growth and strengthening our capacity to deliver on our mission.


What Youll Do

  • Supervise the Social Services Director in enhancing case management practices crisis intervention and long-term advocacy planning.
  • Supervise the Housing and Facilities Director in strengthening housing program models expanding community partnerships and improving housing access for survivors.
  • Supervise the Emergency Shelter Director in maintaining a safe trauma-informed residential environment while guiding systems improvements and staff development.
  • Align advocacy services with CAPSAs mission and organizational strategy in partnership with the Chief Program Officer.
  • Guide and support impactful leadership within the division to foster professional growth and service consistency.
  • Oversee program goals monitor KPIs and ensure compliance with all funder and licensing requirements.
  • Coordinate audits and prepare data-driven reports that demonstrate impact and drive operational decisions.
  • Develop strategies for clear communication and collaboration across advocacy teams and other CAPSA divisions.
  • Represent CAPSA in community partnerships and contribute to regional conversations on survivor support.
  • Improve and highlight program successes to support fundraising awareness and advocacy.

What Youll Bring

You bring at least three years of leadership experience-ideally in advocacy or residential services-and a masters degree in a related field equipping you to oversee and support professional services. You understand the complexity of survivor support work and know how to guide teams through change growth and collaboration. Whether strengthening internal systems or building partnerships in the community you lead with a commitment to impact and care.
