SDOTsTransit & Mobility Division has a new Transportation Options Program Manager (Strategic Advisor 2) position. This team is seeking a high-performing individual to play a vital role in shaping the future of travel in Seattle. This division enhances transportation options and manages limited parking to support business access sustainability and economic development through initiatives such as transit planning shared mobility services and active streets.The Transportation Options Program Manager will lead a dedicated team focused on achieving SDOTs climate goal of making 9 out of 10 personal trips zero-emission by 2030. This role emphasizes regulatory initiatives innovative behaviorchangecampaigns and promoting sustainable alternatives to driving alone including transit vanpooling ridesharing biking scooting and walking.As the lead program manager you will guide the implementation of SDOTs TDM Program 5-Year Strategic Plan which aligns with the Seattle Transportation Plan the Transportation Equity Framework and the Climate Change Response Framework. You will collaborate with your team to strengthen existing programs develop new ones secure grant funding and coordinate efforts with regional partners to support Seattles transportation goals.This position reports to theMobility Solution Manager.
Lead a high-performing team providing advisory support resource optimization and staff development opportunities.
Guide team planning to ensure effective implementation of SDOTs TDM Programs 5-Year Strategic Plan expanding programs to reach existing and new audiences while advancing climate and equity goals.
Set program success metrics manage reporting and assessment responsive to evolving travel behavior patterns and complete progress reportingrelativeto the established TDM Program 5-Year Strategic Plan.
Guide the implementation of ongoing programs including the Commute Trip Reduction Program Transportation Management ProgramsandFlip Your Trip.
Serve as lead policy advisor across departments on interdisciplinary approaches to advance mode shift strategies.
Support the City of Seattle and its external partners including King County Metro Sound Transit WSDOT Commute Seattle Business Improvement Areas stadium venues and major employers with demand management and mobility strategy support for major construction projects eventsand City priorities that have significant transportation impacts.
Develop community and interagency partnerships to support the delivery of programming and community engagement.
Lead interagency coordination coordinate with partners to enhance program effectiveness andparticipatein professional forums on transportation demand management (TDM) issues.
Manage budget development and funding strategy for TDM programs. Coordinate grant and funding approaches and oversee contracts and grant management.
Demonstrate commitment to equity and sustainability.
Promotean equitable diverse and inclusive work environment and provide solutions to address the needs of underserved and vulnerable populations advancing the Citys race and social justice goals.
Education:Bachelors degree in any field OR equivalent combination of education training and work experience.
Experience: Minimumof5 years ofexperiencein transportationplanningdemand management land use/environmental planningor transportation-relatedmarketingand communication.
OR:An equivalent combination of education and experience thatdemonstratesthe ability to perform the position duties.
Though not required strong candidates will have some of the following experience or can describe comparable experience:
Graduate degree in Transportation Planning Urban Planning Public Policy or a related field.
Experience in leading teams or projects through collaboration or management.
Good communicationand organizational abilities.
Familiarity with community engagement and public outreach.
Ability to work well with various stakeholders and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Experience in data collection performance measurement and reporting.
Knowledge ofimplementing new transportation technologies.
Work Environment / PhysicalDemands:
Work is typically performed in a hybrid work environment in which a minimum of 3 days of the work is completed in aCityoffice and 2 days of the work is completed remotely in a regular 40-hour work week.
License Certification and Other Requirements:
Drivers license or evidence of equivalent mobility.

The full salary range for this position is$54.60- $81.93per hour.
