Accountability:
Responsible for assisting participants with disabilities with training case management and support while performing work in one of Goodwills retail store locations. Cultivate partnerships and relationships with employers and service agencies in the local communities serviced by Goodwill to best serve participants. Assists with meeting program goals and outcomes while also ensuring personal growth for program participants within the work environment. Works closely with Mission Manager to accomplish program goals.
This position will have hours at both the Goodwill store inFreeport IL and Sterling IL.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Guiding and Empowering
- Work with individuals with disabilities to coach and motivate to perform work successfully.
- Instruct participants in job seeking and job retention skills.
- Create effective solutions and accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
- Develop implement and monitor Individual Employment Plans (IPP) by establishing appropriate goals for Retail SEP employees and Retail SEP transitional employees (if applicable).
- Coach participants including modeling work and motivation.
- Prepare workstations for daily work activities.
People Management
- Work proactively with retail store staff and ensure outcomes align with retail goals.
- Manage work assigned to participants and assist if needed.
Case Management
- Meet with transitional program participants weekly and assist with finding employment through job development activities (if applicable).
- Work with transitional participants on interviewing skills and resumes and assisting with finding community employment.
- Create and manage detailed case notes in the ETO database ensuring all data is maintained in a timely manner.
Operational Excellence
- Responsible for enforcing program guidelines and following policies.

Qualifications & Basic Job Requirements:
- A combination of education and relevant work experience that aligns with the duties of this position.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities and understand and communicate with diverse groups.
- Ability to motivate and assist individuals in performing work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Certificates/Licensing:
- Ability to maintain First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to maintain Office of Inspector General and Rule 50 training.
Sensory and Physical Requirements:
Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all functions of the job. Ability to stand for 4-6 hours per shift. Ability to lift 15-25 pounds. Full range of motion needed as well as repetitive use of hands and feet needed for on-the-job employment support. Ability to bend twist and physically support the coaching process.

Environment:
The work is conducted in the Goodwill retail store which is an environment with background noise and activity. The job coach will be in the backroom and in the front of the store.
Compensation: $17.50 - $21.00/hour
