E.L. Harvey & Sonsis looking for ahigh energyWelderto join our teaminNew Bedford MA.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30 / occasional Saturdays as needed.
Rate: $26.00 per hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performweldingand electrical repair of trash containers and compactors.
- Performsandingandpaintingof trash containers.
- Maintains a clean safe work area incompliancewith Corporate and OSHA standards.
- Performs all work in accordance with establishedsafetyprocedures documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
- Ability to effectively communicateneeded repairs or tasks.
- Typical schedule is Monday-Friday occasional Saturdays as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS ANDPHYSICALEFFORT:
- Extensivephysicalactivity. Requires strenuousphysicalwork;heavy lifting pushing or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
- Work environment may be indoors in a shop or outdoors to repair containers in the yard. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basicsafetyprecautions.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to pass (i.e. testing negative on) a pre-employment drug screening.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Minimum 1 year of experience inMIG welding.
- Electrical experience is a plus!
