About The Role:
- This rewarding opportunity will see you join the Mater Hospital in North Sydney as an ICU Registrar in our Intensive Care Unit. This role will be full-time 12-month contract with the option for extension working 12hours (7 days on 7 days off).
- We have a 12 bedded combined ICU and HDU. The ICU Registrar provides onsite 24-hour 7 day per week medical care assessment and coordination of all patients of ICU/HDU and other areas at Mater Hospital as directed by the Intensive Care (ICU) Consultant.
- The position holder will be directly responsible to the Director of Intensive Care and the Director of Medical Services. The position includes a total of 3 months of supernumerary anaesthetics registrar experience.
About You:
- You will have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in intensive care medicine (or Anaesthesiology) and be eligible to participate in the training requirements of the Foundation Training program for CICM trainees (essential for formal CICM training program) and elective ICU training as part of RACP ACRRM ACEM FRACGP.
- MBBS or equivalent and Hold AHPRA Registration (essential).
- Minimum 3 to 4 years Medical Officer experience.
- Procedural skills (invasive lines/intubation) (desirable).
- Be available for work shift work over a 7-day roster (12-hour shifts).
- Demonstrated teamwork time management and problem-solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary team.
