About the role:
We are seeking a seasoned data engineering leader based in Poland to drive and shape data strategy while working closely with our UK data engineering team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with consultancy skills to deliver high-impact client-focused data solutions across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will lead delivery teams foster cross-border collaboration and support business growth through pre-sales and solution design.
What youll do:
- Lead and mentor data engineering teams on diverse client engagements in Poland and collaborate closely with the UK data engineering team to ensure seamless delivery.
- Architect and implement scalable secure data pipelines and platforms using Databricks Apache Spark Snowflake and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
- Provide thought leadership and strategic direction to align technical delivery with client business objectives across both markets.
- Work with clients and internal stakeholders to translate data requirements into actionable measurable solutions.
- Support business development activities by contributing to proposals solution workshops and client presentations.
What youll need:
- Proven hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (GCP or AWS preferred) and modern data engineering tools in a consultancy or client-facing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing delivery teams and complex projects ideally with cross-border collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with technical and business stakeholders across Poland and the UK.
- Commercially minded with a consultative approach to pre-sales and solution shaping.
