Job Description

About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use):

We are seeking a dedicated professional to support Ratings Regulatory Affairs team in various activities including:

  • Monitoring updates to relevant regulations through proactive research.
  • Coordinating and assisting with responses to regulatory requests consultations and filings.
  • Coordinating and consolidating regulatory advice from various regions.
  • Providing guidance to the business in connection with NRSRO and other regulations.
  • Consulting on and drafting policies and procedures and related trainings.

Additionally you will support the wider Ratings Legal & Regulatory team on specific activities such as:

  • Preparing presentations and communications including board meeting materials.
  • Assisting with internal control inquiries and the internal control assessment process for the Ratings Legal & Regulatory Affairs function as well as the functions risk profile.
  • Administering our internal client survey and the related feedback analysis.
  • Providing support on other ad-hoc projects.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85000 to $170000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographic location as well as experience level skill set training licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of regulatory experience.
  • Previous Paralegal work experience within a Ratings Agency or a financial services organization is a decisive asset
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities informed by diverse experience in developing solutions.
  • Excellent presentation writing and analytical skills; able to communicate regulations clearly and effectively to employees at all levels.
  • Strong communication and listening skills with internal and external audiences.
  • Self-motivated well-organized and capable of managing multiple high-priority projects while attending to details; able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Hands-on energetic and a motivated self-starter. - Professional demeanor team player and ability to interface effectively with internal and external parties.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Willingness and ability to learn and support the team in developing GenAI skills.
