About the Position

AsSupervisor Lighting you will provide both leadership and technical expertise in the delivery of all lighting elements across our venues. You will be responsible for leading and supervising lighting crews during pre-production rigging rehearsals performances recordings and de-rigging ensuring work is delivered safely efficiently and to the highest standard.

Full timefixed-term positionfrom30 July to 7 December 3.2 $85347.00 p.a. plus superannuation.

Your Skills and Experience

Were looking for someone with strong technical knowledge proven supervisory experience and great communication skills. The successful candidate will have:

  • Arelevant Diploma or higher qualification or equivalent experience in the entertainment industry
  • Minimum 5 years experiencein the lighting industry
  • Demonstrated ability tolead and train technical teams
  • Excellentclient-facing and communication skills
  • Lighting programming experience preferably with GrandMA3
  • Lighting design experienceand knowledge of moving light systems
  • Strong understanding oflighting networks
  • Experience supervising in venues withtheatrical fly systems
  • Previous experience as ahead electricianor similar venue-based leadership role
  • Familiarity with:
    • Vectorworks or similar
    • Depence
    • Lightwright
    • Moving Light Assistant

Preferred Experience

We also value versatility and breadth. Preference will be given to applicants with:

  • Experience lightingorchestras school performances or bands
  • Confidence inbusking live shows
  • Relevant certifications and training including:
    • Basic or Intermediate Riggers Licence
    • Elevated Work Platform Licence
    • Test & Tag Certification
    • Fire Warden and OHS Training
