National Trust of Australia (Queensland) NTAQ) is membership-based environmental charity which offers people the opportunity to feel connected to significant places collections and stories. NTAQ manages a diverse portfolio of heritage properties from Currumbin to Cooktown which includes one of the Gold Coasts most popular tourist destinations Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. As one of Queenslands earliest nature-based tourist destinations the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for future generations.
As NTAQ continues to drive both mission-based programs and exceptional guest experiences across our tourism properties we have an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced part time Grants Manager to play a vital role in securing and managing funding that supports NTAQs strategic pillars key projects and mission.
About the Role
As our experienced and highly skilled Grants Manager you will play a key role in identifying and securing grant funding opportunities that align with NTAQs strategic objectives. You will maintain a strong and proactive approach to managing a robust grants pipeline continuously prospecting tracking and prioritising potential funding sources to support the organisations evolving needs and financial sustainability. Your ability to see opportunities and anticipate trends will be critical in ensuring we remain competitive and forward-thinking in our approach.
With a keen eye for detail and excellent copywriting skills you will develop high-quality compelling grant applications and proposals that clearly articulate objectives deliverables and impact in line with funders criteria and NTAQs mission. As an internal team member you will see these grants through to fruition ensuring full compliance with grant terms and conditions including accurate budgeting allocation of funds tracking outcomes and managing acquittal processes. You will oversee the preparation and timely submission of comprehensive progress reports final reports and financial statements to meet all funder requirements.
As a confident communicator who builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners alike your natural curiosity and proactive mindset will contribute to identifying new opportunities that enhance NTAQs impact and effectiveness. Beyond grant acquisition you will also play a leading role in the development of award submissions that elevate NTAQs reputation and showcase the breadth of our work. By gathering organising and refining relevant content and working closely with teams across the organisation you will help highlight the stories successes and outcomes that define our contribution to community training and conservation. Your ability to craft detailed persuasive submissions will support the recognition of our achievements across multiple sectors and platforms.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in researching writing and submitting successful grant applications to government corporate or foundation funders. Other key skills we are seeking include;
