Boys & Girls Aids Safe Place Shelter inHillsboro ORis looking to hire afull-time Youth Care Advocate for their overnight position. This direct care position earns acompetitive wageof$23.00/hour ($20/hour with a $3/hour overnight shift differential). What Youll Do
As a Youth Care Advocate youll provide direct care and mentorship to youth in our program. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Supporting youth with daily routines homework and life skills
- Building positive trusting relationships
- Leading age-appropriate activities and developmental support
- Ensuring safety and modeling healthy communication and problem-solving
- Using trauma-informed care strategies to manage behavior
- Keeping accurate records of services and activities
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree 1 year of experience in mental health social services or related field
OR 2 years of relevant experience without a degree - Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Compassionate dependable and committed to youth development
