Job Description

Physician Assistant OBGYN Permanent Role

Location: Garland TX 75044
Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Guaranteed: 40 Hours
Compensation: Based on experience

Essential Functions of the Role:
  • Perform comprehensive or focused physical exams and medical histories to assess patients physical and mental conditions.
  • Order interpret and evaluate diagnostic and lab tests to determine patient needs.
  • Prescribe or recommend appropriate medications or therapeutic treatments in accordance with policy.
  • Develop and implement outcome-based patient treatment plans using evidence-based medicine.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients responses to treatments and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment plans medication nutrition and preventive health.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  • Refer patients appropriately when conditions fall outside scope of practice.
  • Provide specialized consultation services and assist in inpatient or emergency care settings.
  • May perform invasive procedures and surgical support duties under physician delegation.
  • Participate in pre- and post-operative care hospital rounds and emergency consults as needed.
  • May be required to provide additional coverage based on departmental needs.

  • Strong knowledge of clinical practices diagnosis treatment options and patient rehabilitation.
  • Proficient in interpreting labs and diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with computer systems and medical software.
  • Ability to develop detailed outcome-based treatment plans.
  • Capable of counseling patients on medical and psychological conditions.
  • Ability to manage patient care independently within the PA scope of practice.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Experience: New graduates may apply (Less than 1 year required).

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current PA License in the State of Texas.
  • NCCPA Certification (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
  • BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
