At the moment this role is focused on:
Designing and developing scalable backend solutions to support Canvas global marketing engine.
Collaborating closely with marketers and data teams to unlock automation analytics and optimisation capabilities.
Maintaining and evolving systems that drive Canvas communications growth and audience engagement.
Partnering with engineers across teams to build integrations between Canvas core product and marketing platforms.
Contributing to best practices around code quality testing and continuous improvement.
Mentoring junior engineers and guiding technical discussions to shape strategic direction.
Youre probably a match if
You have strong backend (Java) engineering experience and have designed robust scalable systems.

About the team
As a backend engineer in the Marketing Technology team youll have the exciting opportunity to build and expand Canvas marketing systems. Your role will revolve around designing creating and maintaining new features that enable our marketing team to do more with less.
Our team operates at the intersection of multiple domains from data and infrastructure to experimentation and user engagement. Constant collaboration with other Canva teams is part of the job giving you a fantastic opportunity to learn influence and connect the dots across projects.
