Job Description

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Roving Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients team at (3) of their properties in Roseville (1) and St. Paul (2). The ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge be self-motivated be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. Boilers license is required OR experience with boilers and ability to become licensed within 6 months of employment. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (3) properties: Site 1 - built in 2020 59 affordable housing units and 4 stories Site 2 - built in 2015 60 affordable housing units and 3 stories and Site 3 - built in 1912 10 units 2 stories.

Salary: $24-$29/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday Friday 8am 430pm.

On-call Requirements: none while on contract or after conversion.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks windows floors and other parts of the building.
  • Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up shoveling and sweeping curb/dumpster area maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
  • Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
  • Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer dryer refrigerator stove microwave dishwashers etc.).
  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues diagnose problems replace and/or repair parts test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 years experience in maintenance in residential communities - work orders and preventative maintenance.
  • Boilers experience is required - certification is preferred and can be obtained after conversion.
  • Have a valid drivers license and valid auto insurance.
  • Be able to pass a Motor vehicle report.
  • Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
