Job Description
Abilene High School is seeking a Head Golf Coach for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. The successful candidate will embody and re-enforce our athletic and activitycore values of commitment effort and teamwork while fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. This position offers the opportunity to mentor young athletes promote sportsmanship and build a well-rounded program that emphasizes both individual improvement and team success.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of the high school golf program including practices competitions and offseason development.
Instruct and develop players in golf fundamentals course management and mental preparation.
Promoteathletic/activity core values of commitment effort and teamwork on and off the course.
Foster strong relationships with student-athletes and encourage academic accountability.
Manage scheduling transportation and coordination of team events and competitions.
Maintain inventory and oversee care of equipment.
Communicate effectively with players families staff and administration.
Ensure compliance with all school district and KSHSAA policies.
Represent the golf program positively in the school and community.
