Medical Assistant/Scribe (Pre-Health or CMA/RMA) with PA-C

Job and Ideal Candidate:

Vanguard is excited to recruit for a medical assistant to support Sean Fitzsimmons PA-C in his fast-paced clinic serving patients in Pueblo and southern Colorado Springs for general dermatology services. We are passionate about serving the medical dermatology needs of our patients such as skin cancer treatment and chronic skin diverse team includes:

• Our scribes and Medical Assistants at Vanguard have a high degree of responsibility. Our team cares for patients from the beginning to the end of each visit taking care of everything from intake to assisting the medical provider to documenting visits to handling labs and prescriptions. Our top MAs take on additional responsibilities across the practice.
• If you are part of our pre-health program you will also receive guidance and mentoring as you apply for grad school.

• Bachelors degree completed at accredited 4-year university or equivalent work experience.
• Proven track record of working well on teams and delivering excellence.
• Excellent verbal and written skills required. Customer service experience a plus.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position supporting Sean Fitzsimmons PA-C and his clinic Mondays and Wednesday-Friday. Schedule will cover our Pueblo office on Monday Thursday and Friday and our Broadmoor office on Wednesday. Hours average 36 42 per week.

This position will be available starting August 2025.

Reviews:

Vanguard Skin Specialists believes in providing regular feedback and encouraging professional development. Your first check in with HR will be approximately 90 days from your date of hire. Written annual reviews take place each fall. For individuals with less than 6 months of tenure by fall review but greater than 6 months tenure at spring review then the initial review will take place in the spring review.

The practice promotes from within which provides opportunity for growth and advancement.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation is $20-23 per hour with eligibility for overtime and paid time off. The practice covers a portion of the premium for medical benefits and also offers vision dental and 401K. Physical Working Conditions:

Must be able to sit stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours

Must be able to lift up to 25-50 pounds

Operate a computer and other office machinery such as a calculator printer copier scanner or fax

Be able to communicate accurately effectively and frequently

Can identify color on the computer and software used
