Position Summary:
The Project Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects by coordinating design planning and implementation efforts. This position serves as a bridge between project managers field crews and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality on-schedule and on-budget results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Project Managers to develop detailed project plans schedules and budgets.
- Create prepare and modify models for GPS technology used on heavy equipment to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure plans are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress ensure compliance with design specifications and identify potential issues.
- Assist in the preparation of bids proposals and cost estimates.
- Communicate with clients subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Track and report on project performance metrics including progress updates cost control and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations environmental requirements and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associates degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
- Related job experience in construction paving or infrastructure projects preferred.
- Knowledge of construction methods materials and standards.
- Proficiency with project management and GPS software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project AutoCAD or similar).
- Excellent organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
