Job Description

At Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) we dont just provide water and electricity we deliver essential services that are vital to the community. EWEB is seeking a Senior Project Manager and a Project Manager II with strong critical thinking skills and experience managing projects in utilities or closely related industries like renewable energy smart grid or telecommunications.
The Project Managers will report to the Project Management Office (PMO) Manager and be part of a project management team with the focus on delivering strategic cross-departmental projects. Project drivers may vary including technological advancement business transformation organizational change regulatory requirement market demand resilience and reliability improvement infrastructure upgrade and others.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop business cases prepare detailed cost estimates and manage and execute projects from start to finish controlling scope budget and timeline.
- Ensure that key project performance metrics and expected business benefits are achieved and the overall project delivery is to the highest standard.
- Collaborate with internal teams contractors vendors leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business initiatives and the PMO portfolio.
- Create and execute a communication plan informing appropriate audiences of project status changes and updates.
- Plan and manage all aspects of the project: stakeholders scope cost risk communication schedule resources quality procurement and integration.

- Advanced business acumen to communicate strategic positions and directives in relation to expected organizational project management priorities and outcomes.
- Ability to identify resource needs create resource plans keep the project team engaged and meet project milestones.
- Excellent and timely communication skills and collaborative attitude; Ability to work and build relationships with a diverse set of individuals and teams from across the organization as well as external service providers and stakeholders.
- Ability to anticipate and efficiently resolve issues and conflicts regarding scope creep gold plating and delays.
- Perform change management as needed.
What differentiates a Senior Project Manager from a Project Manager II In addition to the above the Senior Project Manager will also:
- Exercise technical oversight of designated staff.
- Lead projects of a highly complex scope that will significantly impact the utility and multiple business functions.
- Conduct higher level analysis and control functions to identify and maintain scope and costs.
- Optimize project management processes to continually improve project delivery across people process and technology.
- Perform under minimal supervision.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting annual salaries are as follows commensurate with knowledge skills education and experience as it relates to the position:
Project Manager II: $89685 - $112106.37
Senior Project Manager: $103821 - $129777

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Equivalency:An equivalent combination of education and experience aligned to successfully perform the essential duties of this job may qualify.
Project Manager II:
- Minimum Experience: 3 years of professional project management experience.
- Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering Project Management Business Information Systems Computer Science Computer Information Systems Business Administration Management Public Administration or a closely related field.
Senior Project Manager:
- Minimum Experience: 6 years of professional project management experience.
- Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering Project Management Business Information Systems Computer Science Computer Information Systems Business Administration Management Public Administration or a closely related field.
Recommended Certifications:Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Program Management Professional (PgMP).

Work Location: This position is based inEugene Oregon and has been approved for hybrid work arrangement involving a combination of telecommuting and working on-site. The selected candidate must live in the state of Oregon.
