Job Description

Were making waves! MEYER WERFT is one of the largest and most modern shipyards in the world with locations in Papenburg Rostock and Wismar as well as several subsidiary companies. In total around 5000 employees work directly for us. Together with this highly qualified network we build cruise ships river cruise ships and ferries for customers worldwide.

We are looking for a Subproject Manager (m/f/d) for the procurement department at the earliest possible date.

You will be the primary contact for Procurement in project management for the assigned projects. Within the department you will manage project processes and take on the professional leadership of the project team.

  • Professional leadership of procurement within assigned projects including cost optimization supplier management and material availability.
  • Planning of all procurement activities required for the project and coordination of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ensuring procurement-related project objectives by early identification of risks and opportunities and targeted management of relevant actions.
  • Supporting project controlling and conducting regular coordination with the project team to ensure maximum alignment with procurement targets.
  • Continuous monitoring of project progress and proactive management to meet time cost and quality objectives.
  • Initiating and ensuring quality assurance measures to secure sustainable project success.
  • Coordinating cross-team collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure smooth and demand-oriented project execution.
  • A completed degree in a technical or commercial field
  • Relevant professional experience in project business ideally in the maritime industry
  • IPMA certification is an advantage
  • Strategic and structured approach to work
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Business-fluent English proficiency
