Job Description

Title:

Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) Command and Control (C2) Project Manager

Join and lead a small team of technical professionals. The Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) Command and Control (C2) Project Manager position is experienced in all phases of the program from conceptual planning and design to execution monitoring and closure. The FAAD C2 Project Manager will be responsible for preparation of contract deliverables prioritization of tasks based on government requirements and leadership of the KBR FAAD C2 team. This role is the primary interface between the KBR Program Manager and IFMC government lead. The FAAD C2 Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the programs successful execution from planning through completionall while meeting stringent defense and compliance standards. Successful candidates are familiar with Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) test threads implementation of joint data links to include MIL-STD-6016 and Information Support Plan (ISP) configuration management. The Project Manager maintains team budget and tracks hours and coordinates with the government for team funding. This role requires prior leadership experience and extensive experience in supporting the government with programmatic analysis evaluation and execution with a focus on supporting and managing system lifecycles. <10% travel for meetings and other events may be required. Position is fully funded and is full time on government site.

Relocation: Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or able to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama AL area.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience with program planning and contract execution to include workforce and budget management with broad based and in-depth knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle
  • 3 years of proven project or program management / leadership experience in Air & Missile Defense or similar complex weapon systems
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven track record of good judgment and programmatic execution necessary to meet technical and contractual requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations
  • Experience with the Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Modeling Language (UML)
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) functional and behavior analysis
  • Experience with DOD Acquisition Lifecycle
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Utilize functional leadership experience to help deliver on critical programs
  • Ability to logically formulate solutions for execution on prescribed schedules
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills strong social skills and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members leadership and customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic responsive and collaborative environment and dedicated to the success of our Government customers
