Substitute Mobile Development Instructor

Location: Lehi UT

Status: Part-time

Hours: MondayThursday; 7:30 a.m.10:30 a.m.

Pay/Salary: $38.79$60/hour DOE

Summary

As a Mobile Development Instructor you will play a key role in shaping the future of aspiring developers by delivering hands-on high-impact education. Youll guide students through a journey that begins with core mobile development concepts evolves into professional-level portfolio work and culminates in the creation and launch of their own app. Your industry experience and mentorship will empower students to turn their ideas into real-world solutions. This role exemplifies excellence in both technical instruction and professional conduct fostering a vibrant learning environment where innovation and growth thrive.

What Youll Do:

Responsibilities of the Substitute Mobile Development Instructor include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver dynamic skills-focused instruction that fosters technical proficiency and creativity.
  • Design and update lesson plans that are relevant engaging and aligned with current industry standards.
  • Provide a supportive and well-managed classroom environment that fosters collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Assess student learning through a variety of methods including hands-on projects code reviews and practical evaluations.
  • Maintain a student-centered approach that promotes confidence independence and real-world readiness.
  • Ensure lab and classroom equipment is safe functional and conducive to learning.
  • Track and report student progress attendance and outcomes accurately and consistently.
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to continuously enhance the student experience.

What Were Looking For:

  • Education Requirements: A high school diploma or the equivalent is required. A relevant degree or technical certification is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of professional experience in mobile development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in IOS Development is required.
  • Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in time management multitasking and organization to efficiently manage classroom instruction student progress and administrative duties.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail to ensure instructional quality and student success.
  • Teaching & Communication: Prior teaching experience and/or formal teaching credentials are preferred. Strong communication skills and a passion for mentorship are essential for success.
